In my studio this week...
Sitting here writing a million lists trying to get things a flowing. Happy to say on the list is MORE DRAWING! Here is one that I did the other day... I really like the doubling up of monsters and their little implied relationships. More, more, more I say. I find it humorous that the kids always think it is them. Then they fight over which one is them. No they are not monsters at all!

Rosey
This Saturday you will be able to find me down at the Rose Street Artist Market, in Fitzroy Melbourne. I used to do this market every weekend. It is very dear to my heart as this market is where wendy june began about 5 years ago now! If you have never been before it is a cosy place with a variety of neat stuff as well as amazing inspiring talented people, and it even has its own cafe!
So swing on down if the mood takes you and enjoy the first weekend of spring!

These monster guys are now available as magnets, so come and grab some!

monster balloons
Behind the scenes here at wendy june there has been planning and scheming and a bit of organisational stuff. Not highly pretty, but it must get done sometime! So what is new? I have some additions to the magnet range and a new card. This card was inspired by a birthday party we threw for our son Yoshi. I made a very strange monster cake and invitations which featured Yoshi holding a bunch of monster balloons.

My cake abilities not as impressive as the drawing, but you get the idea!

The new goodies are now available online!

Hello Heide
A selection of my cards are now sitting pretty on the shelves of Heide Museum of Modern Art! I am thrilled. It is a great spot for looking at art and having a grand old picnic on their grounds, surrounded by actual sculpture.

Magnolia Square- thanks for swinging by....
What a shopping experience! Talk about an amazing choice of lovely products! But enough of the exclamation marks, thank you to all that popped down to my “pop up shop” and had a little spend up or just a little chat. I honestly enjoyed you all, and thank you for the lovely comments I deeply appreciate it.
Here are a couple of pickies of my “pop up shop”.

anyone feel like a hearty shopping trip?
I have been working very hard these last couple of weeks to get everything looking totally perfect for the Magnolia Square shopping event in St Kilda, Melbourne. It is at the Town Hall and I would love it if you came on down and said hello!

Who could go past this one?
Popped into an actual opp shop the other day, thank goodness I did, as sitting there on a table looking all neglected was this casserole dish. He has found a lovely new home with us and will be much used over the autumn and winter. I cannot seem to put it away in the cupboard though, way to cute for that- it needs to be seen, so he is living on our stove top. Perhaps patted daily.

I love the Danish feel of the pattern and the little checks on the animals and fruit.
Maybe all my good Karma was used up in one opp shop outing, when I also found (in the same opp shop, on the same day!) this awesome crochet bed spread in cream.

What a beauty.

All geared up
Have been having so much fun in the studio putting together some little media packs for the Magnolia Square Market... Which is coming upon us as we speak!
I whipped up a little bit of wrapping paper and on the inside, well that's a surprise!
I knew my little Japanese wrapping course that I completed over 10 years ago would pay off! Although my teachers would be ashamed as it would not measure up to their incredible standards.
Here is a quick snapshot of the end result.

I love give-aways!
Join my mailing list and you could win $50 worth of any of my products! The offer will end at the end of March and will be randomly selected by computer.
So click on the mailing list button (over there at the side) and you could WIN!

Beaching it up
My last weekend of summer was spent wisely on the beach. My family and I headed down to the coast and camped right near the beach- what a luxury! Although the weather could have been slightly more like summer it was still lovely to relax near actual water!
mmm salty air, there is nothing like it.
Here is the last sandcastle of summer, put together by me and my
laddies.

A view from the top of the sand castle. We found some lovely different
varieties of seaweed for decorating.
